Ano skutečně, Drift City je hrou, která se 
hraje jedině online. Trochu nadneseně řečeno by ji bylo možno označit za takovou lehkou odnož MMORPG žánru, kde místo klasických postav vystupují auta, respektive jejich řidiči. Také proto je třeba si nejlépe založit na stránce vlastní účet a přímo ve hře pak vytvořit vlastní řidičský průkaz a z široké nabídky vybrat některý z vozů a spustit se na virtuální silnice. Ty tak trochu připomínají giganta jako je GTA. Jasně, že se tato hra zadarmo s plně komerčním projektem srovnávat nedá, i přes to se ale tvůrci blejskli hustou sítí silnic, které js
ou navíc protkány různorodými úkoly k plnění. K těm patří třeba i questy donáškového typu, jež jsou základním námětem, jehož prostřednictvím můžete nasbírat potřebné zkušenosti a peníze. Za zkušenosti navíc naskakují levely, které vypovídají o zkušenostech hráče a otevírají nové možnosti. K těm patří třeba i Battle Arena (tedy souboj dvou hráčů či týmů – samozřejmě na závodní dráze). Zajímavou možností se také jeví speciální řidičská aréna, ráj každého řidiče. Zde se nachází dílny a přístup k dalším herním možnostem, pěkně pohromadě a přehledně.
Výše popsaný obsah hry je samozřejmě jen úzký výcuc toho, co vás ve skutečnosti čeká. Možnosti této hry jsou totiž až nečekaně obsáhlé, což platí dvojnásob dodáme-li, že hra je zcela zdarma. Navíc na tom není špatně ani samo technické zpracování, které se sice nesnaží úplně přiblížit realismu, zato nabízí pestrobarevný svět, v němž si budete zvykat na arkádové ovládání a přesto dostatečně přesné ovládání vozu. V tomto ohledu se tvůrcům podařilo najít příjemnou rovnováhu mezi arkádou a realismem, což je další výrazné plus. Celkově je Drift City srovnatelný s některými komerčními hrami staršího data a nelze jinak než ho doporučit všem hráčům.
Pozn. Pro spuštění hry je dobré nejlépe se zaregistrovat na http://www.ijji.com a následně kliknout na Play Live pod nadpisem Drift City. Po stažení několika aktualizací a Launcheru se dostanete přímo do hry.
